True support is not absorbing someone’s storm — it’s standing steady beside it.
Within the Qisong communities, a gentle theme has been moving like an undercurrent.
Many are finding themselves dissolving into the emotions of others — caring so deeply that they lose the rhythm of their own breath.
It’s a curious phenomenon, and one I’ve witnessed again and again in recent days.
Yes, theLibra New Moon has been guiding us toward harmony and connection, illuminating our instinct to balance.
But this isn’t only lunar. It’s deeper — something collective, ancestral even.
For many, this merging began as survival — learning to feel the emotional weather around us before it broke.
We became skilled at sensing others’ pain, often mistaking that sensitivity for love.
And yet…
Empathy without grounding can blur into exhaustion.
Compassion without boundaries can quietly become self-abandonment.

Rooted Presence
To truly hold space for another is not to absorb their storm, but to remain the tree beside it.
You do not become the wind; you allow it to pass through your branches.
When you stay anchored — in your breath, your body, your own stillness — your calm becomes medicine.
It shows others what it feels like to return home to themselves.
In Qisong, we call this energy sovereignty — the ability to remain in your own field of awareness while extending compassion without merging.
It’s not detachment; it’s devotion to truth — yours and theirs.

A Simple Practice
When someone you love is hurting, pause.
Breathe softly through your nose.
Exhale slowly through the soles of your feet.
Then whisper inwardly:
“You have your energy, and I have mine.”
This is not rejection — it’s remembrance.
You are not required to carry their burden to prove your care.
Your steady presence is enough.

Balancing the Scales
As the Libra moon wanes, may you feel your own scales returning to balance — between giving and receiving, between witnessing and absorbing.
This is the quiet mastery of relational healing: to connect without losing, to love without dissolving.
Let your body remember that balance is not static — it’s a breath, an ebb and flow.
Each inhale returns you to yourself.
Each exhale opens your compassion to others.
