Hecate at the Crossroads — The Moon’s Monday Wisdom

There are moments when life stands still —
not in peace, but in pause.
When every direction seems both possible and impossible.
When the mind says “decide,”
but the heart whispers, “wait.”
That’s where Hecate lives.
In ancient myth, she stands at the crossroads under the Moon —
torch in hand, silent, patient, alive with knowing.
She does not choose for us.
She listens until we can hear our own body’s answer.
Hecate is not the darkness we fear.
She is the one who sees within it —
the one who lights the threshold,
who waits with us in uncertainty,
until the path begins to breathe.

The Crossroads as Medicine
In Qisong, we honour these crossroads moments —
the places between what was and what will be.
They are not failures of clarity,
but invitations to deepen presence.
When we reach a turning point,
the body knows before the mind does.
Our breath changes.
Our belly tightens or softens.
Our pulse either steadies or scatters.
The question is not“Which way should I go?”
but“Which way lets me breathe more fully?”
That is the path Hecate lights.
Her wisdom is lunar — not linear.
She moves in cycles,
not straight lines.
She reminds us that pause is a rhythm,
not a problem to solve.

A Monday Practice
This Moon Day, try this:
Find a quiet space — a literal or inner crossroads.
Place a hand on your heart, another on your belly.
Take three slow breaths.
Ask softly:
What path softens me?
What direction lets my breath flow easier?
Then do nothing.
Let the answer come in its own time.
Sometimes, Hecate’s torch is not a blinding light —
but a single, steady glow
showing just enough to take the next step.

🌒 Living the Lunar Way
In our world, Monday has become the day of urgency —
a race to catch up before the week even begins.
But in older rhythms, Monday wasMoon Day:
a day to listen, to align, to begin gently.
Let Hecate remind you —
your choices are sacred.
The pause before them is holy.
And every breath you take in stillness
is an offering to the part of you
that already knows the way.

Qisong Invitation
In Qisong, we work with the rhythm of breath, body, and cosmos —
to bring calm where there was confusion,
and clarity where there was striving.
If you’re standing at a crossroads —
in your health, your work, your heart —
let this week be your Moon Day reset.
