Monday Motivation- a quiet noticing

Lately, I’ve been becoming more aware of the small nudges.
The kind that don’t shout.
They arrive quietly… almost anonymously.
A phrase overheard.
A line in a book.
Someone saying the exact thing you were just thinking.
On their own, they seem non-descript.
But when you gather them together, you start to feel it
that gentle insistence.
It is rhythmic.

Toward the end of last year, one word kept appearing for me.
Again and again.
In conversations, in reflections, in moments of pause.
Trust.
So much so, it stopped feeling like coincidence.
It felt like instruction.
Or maybe… remembrance.
Trust became my word of the year.
Not because I chose it —
but because it chose me.

When I look at my natal chart, this makes so much sense.
My Capricorn Moon loves order.
It’s the inner manager.
The one with the clipboard.
It wants things organised.
Labeled.
Planned.
It wants the aerial view —
the whole picture laid out neatly, right now.
And yet… this season of my life hasn’t worked like that.
Things haven’t arrived fully formed.
They’ve arrived piece by piece.
Moment by moment.
Which is teaching me something deeper than control.
This feels like my initiation into letting go and letting be.
As the very first quote in the Retune : a breath towards home says:
Be still and know.
Not rush and know.
Not plan and know.
But be still.
And from that stillness… trust emerges.
So as I step into 2026, my word remains the same.
Trust.
Trust the process.
Even when it feels uncomfortable.
Even when things seem to unravel before they make sense.
Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?”
I’m learning to ask:
What is this happening for me?
What is this moment revealing?
What is this experience shaping inside me?
Because every challenge carries information.
Every pause carries wisdom.
Every detour holds direction.
Let this week be guided not by force —
but by listening.
Let trust soften the nervous system.
Let it widen the breath.
Let it ground you back into rhythm.

You don’t have to see the whole path.
Just the next honest step.
And that…
Is enough
And I find myself curious…
I wonder — if you were to choose one word for 2026,
what would it be?
Not a goal.
Not a resolution.
But a word that could walk beside you.
A word you could return to when things feel uncertain.
A word your nervous system could rest into.
Let it arrive softly.
You don’t have to decide today.
Sometimes the word chooses us —
long before we realise we’re listening.
